Welcome to 63RP… Because RP63 is taken
You are here, and you’re here this early. That means you are either family, a close friend, or you pay close attention to my bio on social media. You are appreciated, and I hope you enjoy my writings as I take you on my sim-racing journey, how it helped me get sober, and anything else I decide to write about. This, like sim racing, helps me deal with stress and maintain my sober streak. I’m not worried about a lack of readers sending me off the deep end.
I ask myself this question every time I put pen to paper (more accurately thumb to black mirror), “why now?” The answer is, I got tired of being drunk. Maybe this blog helps me get it out there. If I was tired of drinking, maybe someone else is, too. Maybe through my writings, someone else can find their reason to quit if they are struggling. Maybe they can also find sim racing.
So, what can you expect?
-Recaps of races throughout the week
-Stories of how my family, sim-racing and the friends I have made put me in a position to get clean
-Lessons I have learned in sim racing, from creating and dodging wrecks to dealing with low-split problems in iRacing
-Reviews and shout-outs to those that support me or stuff I like
-A glimpse into my life in the Military and my life as a Husband and Parent
Because I know it’s not likely that I’ll retain every soul that comes to 63RP, I know I will need to branch out into other content. So, if you are reading this, it’s okay to respond to what I write in the comments. Let me know what you want to see.
This is a process, not a sprint. See you at the grid.
